Are you being Intentional?

I t’s Monday! Yay….. or nah. First of all, thanks to those who have followed the blog and social media platforms, please keep it coming. If you’ve given me feedback, I truly appreciate it. Keep those coming too please.

As we begin our respective weeks, I want us to take time to think about how intentional we are living our lives. We wake up, we go to work, we come home, we watch tv for a while, go to bed and start all over. It’s amazing how many of us do that. I speak to so many people who have plans and goals they want to accomplish yet, they get so comfortable with the robotic routines and I’m just trying to figure out why. Why are we not being intentional about our lives? Why haven’t you placed a deadline on that job? Why haven’t you started studying for that exam? Why haven’t you started working out? Why haven’t you started going to church more? Why haven’t you started that business?

Living a limited life for many is a choice. You can’t hear it enough because it’s true when I say no change happens without action from you. So this week, apply to all the jobs you dream of having, sign up at the gym and if that’s out of your budget, find some stairs and give it 30 minutes of your time daily. Buy what you need for that exam and start studying. Find a church and get committed. My point is, do something today the future you will thank you for. Is failure what you’re afraid of? Don’t let that stop you. Fail forward, fail quickly, learn from your mistakes and do it better the next time around.

We all have Monday blues but cure it today by setting a goal for yourself for the week and make sure you accomplish it. You’ll be glad you did.

    I’m studying for an actuarial exam that I have next week 😩 annnnddd I do stair exercises. I am living intentional lol. Good read :).

    It’s soooo easy to get caught up with routines 😩 Your comfort zone is a very dangerous place. For me, it’s all about a mindset shift, making a conscious effort, getting my butt up & working on bettering myself in some way daily. It doesn’t have to be major, even something as little as watching a 15min TED talk or a short documentary. Anyway let me not type an article here πŸ˜‚ Keep the posts coming iya oni goals πŸ˜‚

    Feeling the Monday morning blues right about now.However, I will shake it off, because I’ve got a serious meeting in a couple of hours. Like shay shay said, it’s a mind set thing.In order to shake it off, one needs a kick start. Kick starters like, writing your goals on a wall in your room with the question (How are you achieving your goals this week?) helps. I believe in breaking goals to small objectives and knocking them off at a reasonable pace.Finding pepole with similar goals or an accountability partner helps as well.

    Great Post! Living intentional definitely takes courage and discipline…renewed daily with a healthy dose of optimism. We can and We should use the present to impact our future! Keep it coming!

    Great post. We all get comfortable with our mundane routines and forget that we could actually do more and that we are capable of doing more. Definitely needed a reminder.
